Description
-
This German crossbow features a wooden stock with decoratively carved fish scale patterns that run along the sides of the stock. The upper surface of the stock contains a bone inlay with plant and floral imagery. At the butt of the stock is a concave cheek rest located on the left side for a right-handed user. The cheek rest features an inlay decoration of a bird. The trigger mechanism is a rolling nut made of bone with a string through the hole of the stock, securing it in place. The crossbow also features a metal transverse pin, used to aid in spanning the crossbow, passing through the butt end of the stock. The trigger lever is made of metal and is wrapped with a plant fiber string, while the end of the trigger is shaped like a knob.
