Description
-
This heavy metal bolt crossbow featured a steel prod, and on the right a smith mark "T" within a circle with four points, decorated with green woolen pompoms. In the front, crossbows of this build usually featured a suspension ring, however not this one. The stock is made out of grained wood, with the entire underside and the edges on both sides applied with grey brown horn, and on the top, bone-inlaid with a raised side-inserted bolt bridge, bone butt plate, the sides richly inlaid with mother-of-pearl (nacre) and bone, giving the sides a shine. The nut is carved from horn, with a multi-axle lock with many axles seen from both sides, and a double set trigger. The Nussfaden is engraved with details and backed by red velvet. The rear sight consists of polished metal, possibly added at a later date.
