Description
-
This massive steel bow has a massive extended bolt guide, with a curved profile and hemp string. The prod is secured in the bow with detailed metal plating, and sparse metal inlays in place. A small ring resembling a goat-eye screw in a different colored wood to the stock is up in the front, along the bolt guide down with the metal catch. The stock has an extended part other than the metal tipped butt, which may be a crossbow handle. The trigger guard is shaped with indents possibly for the fingers.
Hermann Historica notes that the trigger guard, catch cover, and transverse pin made of nickel silver. The crossbow was shouldered for firing, and the sight and rear shoulder rest are missing.
