Description
-
This crossbow has an adjustable steel prod clasped by iron mounts. There is a mark stamped near the mount, displaying three black triangles in a circle. The transverse pin appears to be in front of the prod rather than its usual position near the butt stock. The wooden stock is inlaid with most likely bone or ivory on both sides. The front of the stock is tapered with an iron block and the butt stock has spherical finial made of brass. It has a bolt channel carved with ebony and an iron hook for the string accompanied by a telescope-like rear sight. It has an iron trigger guard, and set trigger. The image also displays a steel-tipped wooden bolt along with the crossbow.
