Description
-
The Museum notes that this crossbow was intended for hunting small game.
At the tip of this crossbow, there is a small metal ring as well as a forked sight. The metal prod is slightly bent out of shape. The bowstring seems original. This crossbow has a trigger guard.
The butt is wooden. The cheek rest is carved with bands of small stars and zigzag lines, which are partly worn away with use. There are also zigzag lines along the edges of the wood.
A typical Kugelschnepper, this crossbow is made entirely of metal except for the wooden butt.
