Description
-
This crossbow has a slender steel prod retaining its bowstring of bound cord. The hardwood stock takes the form of a gun-stock incorporating a rest carved with a chevron pattern beneath the prod, and the long horn bolt channel. The grip is carved with chevron and a grotesque mask in the round. The weapon is fitted with a long brass lever trigger, a two piece vestigial brass butt-plate, an iron stirrup, a pair of iron lugs, and a vacant mother-of-pearl escutcheon.
