At the tip of the crossbow, there is a small ring and a forked metal sight. Both are made of metal. The prod and stock are made of iron. The prod is stamped with the maker's mark, in a shield a prancing stag (Neue Støckel 5143 or 8442). The butt is inset with an engraved plaque on the left charged with crowned Bavarian ducal arms (chipped) on the left, and with scenes from the chase on the right. The stock of the bow is inlaid with ivory, with a different wood as the stock.
